This set comes with a BBQ turner (or
spatula), BBQ turning fork, BBQ Tongs and a BBQ basting brush!
These are made of wood and stainless steel, so they should give years of use!
About these items:
BBQ Spatula:
This item is 16.75 inches in length, and the blade measures 7 inches long by 4
inches wide at it's widest. The stainless steel blade has a beveled edge to help
you get under the meat you're turning, and three long slots cut into the blade
to help you grip patties, and to help press drain fat and liquids from patties.
Curiously there's also a cut out in the metal above the slots that looks like it
was put there to pop tops off of bear and soda bottles. We haven't tried this as
it is a brand new item, but it sure likes like that's what it's there for.
There's a rawhide loop at the top of this spatula for hanging it up when not in
use.
BBQ Turning Fork: Can be used for spearing meat on the grill, or turning slabs
of meat over. This measures 16.25" in length, and is 1.5" at it's widest on the
three tine fork. The stainless steel of the fork is 6.5" in length. There is a
1.5" scratch in the handle on the right side, and a few light scratches on the
fork's metal, but nothing that will hinder it's usefulness. This item had a raw
hide loop at the top for hanging the utensil when not in use.
BBQ Tongs:
These are 15.5 inches in length, and 2 inches wide at the working
end. The metal at the ends have 10 teeth cut into the tips to help you grip your
meat cuts, and two slots cut into each side of the tongs, probably to help with
gripping. This item can be hung up when not in use using the loop of the handle.
Basting Brush:
This item is great for slathering your BBQ sauce of ribs, or
basting anything else you grill! I don't know what the bristles are made of, but
I assume it's nylon. Very soft to the touch. It measures 16.5 inches from tip to
tip. and the brush is 2 inches wide. If you look at the picture, there's a small
nick in the wood about 2 inches above the metal on the left side, and another
small nick on the opposite side (not shown) about 5 inches above the metal. Each
nick is about the size of the tip of a pencil, and shouldn't effect the utility
of the basting brush. This brush also has a rawhide loop at the top for hanging
it up.
